Name the fear
The mind loves a vague threat.
"We suffer more often in imagination than in reality." — Seneca, Letters from a Stoic
Last week I lay awake at 2 a.m. running the same loop. The deal. The what-ifs. The worst case on repeat.
Then I did something small. I wrote the fear down in one sentence.
On paper it looked ordinary. Manageable. Almost boring.
Named things shrink. Unnamed things grow in the dark.
Give a fear edges, and it loses its teeth.
What if the thing you keep circling would fit on a single line — and shrink the moment you wrote it down?
