Commit. 100%.

Image
The "illusion of choice" can't prevent people's best work from ever happening. We think if we commit to something (a relationship, a job/career) that we are signing a death sentence. We hold the idea of freedom to be more valuable than freedom itself. We don't want to commit because that commitment could "limit our choices." We fail to understand the rewards of commitment. Nothing is permanent. Everything and everyone is always changing. Nine times out of ten, the best path is to commit to the best option in front of you. Invest fully. Really bring your full self to this challenge every day. You will learn more about yourself, connect more deeply with those you meet, and have opportunities presented to you that will only come after you've made a habit of committing. It turns out the worst choice we can make is to not commit by tricking ourselves that this leaves our options open.

Combating cynicism

Image
When you combat cynicism, you need to know its source. Dig deeper with most cynics and you find a frustrated idealist. This person often made the mistake of taking their values and converting them into expectations. When people let them down, they felt hurt and disappointed. "Burnout" does not come from working too hard. There are social workers and teachers who work harder than anyone else in society until they are 80 years old and never "burnout." This lack of "burnout" comes from having an accurate view of human nature. If you don't over romanticize people, then you do not feel great harm and hurt when people let you down. Thank you, PS .

Choosing Not To Buy What They Sell Us on How Our Bodies Should Look

Image
No matter what we look like, they tell us we are not good enough. They cement the deep hole of "not being good enough" within us .The more they make us feel inadequate, the more they succeed. We let them tell us what is wrong with us. We are beautiful. We are strong. We don't need their beauty standards projected upon us. Curly-haired people want straight hair, straight-haired people want curly hair. We are taught to want what we do not have. We are taught to not love what we are blessed to have. We need to stop subscribing to their manufactured standards of beauty. It's not about throwing your personal standards of beauty out the window and not taking care of yourself. On the contrary, it's about not letting their fake standards of beauty infiltrate and take over your own standards. It's about having your own healthy standards that are based on giving your body the nutrition, exercise, and love it needs to feel great and operate at its best potential. So much...

Change your focus

Image
When you change the things you focus on, the things you focus on change. You can look at the 80% of things that are good, or the 20% of the things that are bad. If you focus too much, the 20% could become distorted. Your worldview determines your mindset, which determines your actions, which create your outcomes. If you want different outcomes, change what you’re focused on. The choice is yours.                                                    Advertisement: I would like to buy your property or small business.
